Rebecca S Cepluch - Attorney at Law

About Us

Rebecca graduated Cum Laude from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pre-law, Political Science in 1996.  She received her Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School in January of 2000 and passed the Ohio bar exam on her first attempt. She has been licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio since 2001 and has practiced in the Butler County area since 2003.

Rebecca has most recently worked as an Associate Attorney at Caparella-Kraemer & Associates, LLC, practicing in family law and other areas. Rebecca served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Butler County for six and half years in the Juvenile Division.

Rebecca is a former certified OPOTA (Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy) instructor for various special subjects at Butler Tech Police Academy and instructed at Brown Mackie College as an adjunct professor in criminal and constitutional law courses.

Professional Skills
With fifteen years of experience concentrating in family law matters, Rebecca has a comprehensive knowledge of Juvenile Court procedures which allows protection of parent's rights to their children at all stages of custody battles and abuse, neglect and dependency proceedings. She has obtained countless emergency orders for parents, grandparents and relatives in private abuse, neglect, dependency actions and custody disputes, especially when a child is at risk for immediate physical or emotional harm, including allegations of sexual, physical or emotional abuse.

Rebecca obtains paternal rights to visitation and sole legal custody for fathers to children born out of wedlock and in divorce proceedings, despite the social presumption of legal custody to a mother.  Although vastly experienced in trial practice for highly contested divorces and custody battles, Rebecca routinely negotiates separation agreements and shared parenting plans in lieu of legal custody dispositions, which can provide both parents with equal parenting time and equal decision making rights with their children.  She also fervently prosecutes and defends divorce complaints, post-decree motions, and Domestic Violence Civil Protection Orders in Domestic Relations courts and can transform end of marriage agreements into dissolutions in a swift and efficient manner.

While providing criminal and juvenile delinquency defense, Rebecca has obtained frequent not guilty verdicts at trial, successfully having charges dismissed through motions based on speedy trial violations, motions to suppress illegally obtained evidence and insufficient evidence.
